Where we keep Suriname clean

Rinse empty pesticide bottles three times for 30 seconds and let them be recycled

Mission

Working to build trust, inspire and create awareness in the community to keep the environment free of pesticide, plastic and other waste and to clean and process it into semi-finished and end products.

Vision

Promoting the sustainable collection, collection and processing of pesticide packaging, plastic and other waste in Suriname.

Goals

The foundation's main objective is to make the community aware of maintaining a clean environment. Through field visits in the district of Nickerie, it will work in the first phase on creating awareness of the importance of the triple rinse technique; rinsing empty pesticide bottles three times and collecting them. The target group here is the supplier of the raw material, namely the pesticide importers and the pesticide users. In the second phase, the work will continue to other districts where the logistical part will be worked out, namely identifying collection locations, the applied method (quarterly collection after announcement or placing collection bins). During this phase, work must also be done on our own facility where we can bail or shred the bottles ourselves. In the third phase, the focus will be on manufacturing end products, also looking at the possibility of using other types of mixed materials such as second-hand tires, agricultural plastic and shade netting.
